Build your science fiction world with night sky maps!
This is piece of software for mapping stars within a galaxy. It's good for building a science fantasy world.
It uses dark-matter simulation data from the Illustris project, to place stars within a simulated galaxy. You can add systems, planets to those systems, and then build star maps from them.

You can add as many planets as you like.
Create constellations and name them!
Initial upload. You can download Illustris data with the bundled python script, load it into the program, and generate starmaps.
