Returns & refunds
This policy applies to purchases made directly from the C. S. Cooper shop.
Change of mind
I do not offer change-of-mind returns, refunds or exchanges. This includes signed and personalised copies, unsigned books and digital downloads. Returns and other remedies are provided where required by law.
Defective copies and other problems
If your book has faulty printing, missing or duplicated pages, a binding defect or another fault, please get in touch. Please also contact me if your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item or does not match its description.
Signed and personalised copies retain the same rights under Australian Consumer Law if defective or otherwise covered by a consumer guarantee. A signature or personalisation does not exclude those rights.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
For a major failure, you may reject the product and choose a refund or replacement, or keep it and seek compensation for its reduced value. For a minor failure, I may initially choose to repair, replace or refund it, as required by law. Other remedies, including compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, may also apply.
These rights also apply to digital purchases where applicable. There is no fixed return period in this policy that limits your statutory rights.
How to request help
Please email support@cscooper.com.au with your order reference or other proof of purchase and a description of the problem. If possible, attach photographs showing the defect to your email. Photographs can help assess a printing fault but are not a condition of your consumer rights.
Please contact me before posting an item so I can provide return instructions and an address. You do not need the original packaging to exercise your consumer rights. If a fault is confirmed, I will cover reasonable return postage costs; please keep your postage receipt.
For more information, see the ACCC guidance on repairs, replacements and refunds.
